If you’ve been following along on Instagram, you may have heard that we are starting to look for a weekend home. Quinn and I have officially put into place an action plan to rehab a small property within a couple of hours of Austin. We’d love it to be a forever family home, a place to escape on weekends, and a dreamy AirBnb property. We’ve already found a few we are very fond of and are working through the financial plans to make it happen.
I envision the property to be over grouted Texas limestone (the Hill Country is full of charming German settlement homes) furnished with vintage and antique finds. As I’m always looking to balance my love for modern vibes with interesting vintage pieces, I’m pulling all the inspo from the Serena & Lily sale to get my design plans together. Block print floral details (a wallpapered mudroom is absolutely HAPPENING), rattan pieces, striped linen bedding and handsome brass details will keep the ranch from feeling too “ranch”.
Here’s the first peek at my design plans and sources to what I’m stocking up on during the Serena & Lily Spring Design Event where almost everything is 20% with code FRESHMIX.
